Elements

Here on the West Coast the weather has been relentless. With huge waves, blustery winds and immense amounts of rain causing floods and landslides, we are reminded of the power of the elements. It’s easy in our society to dismiss the dynamics of our relationship with the Earth. Today I am grateful for planet’s power. Even in the chaos of it there is something to be learned. We are a part of this Earth, we do not control it, no matter how much we try. So today I once again surrender to the elements. Let the Earth’s powers wash over me. I am elated to remember my place amongst it all.
